Hola!
I am a Mexican trained professionally in New York, where I also received my Fine Arts degree. My work focuses on real and fantasy scenes created with watercolours, gouache, and fine art printing. I believe that an artist is defined by what they can perceive; that art lives by engagement. I make art to connect and share stories with the world.
Every scene is a narrative stage inspired by nature’s raw, chaotic character, and the internal dichotomy between human vices and dreams. My vision gets shaped by a cultural blend of literature, personal observations, and diverse artistic influences ranging from classical art to Mexican craftsmanship.
My work has earned international recognition, including a distinction from the Society of Fellows for my watercolour piece, The Defeated; the 2024 Premio Arte Internacional: Artista Revelación del Año; and the 2025 Premio Excelencia at the V Encuentro Internacional de Artistas en Contra de la Violencia. From 2024 to 2025, I was a Resident Artist at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club developing visual elements and puppet performances. There, the NYC press praised my puppets, stating they were so enchanting that it was easy to "forget it was a puppet and not a living, breathing creature".*
This coming September 2026, I will be showcasing my latest work in a collective exhibition at the historic Casa de Moneda (Museo Numismático Nacional) in Mexico City.
